Crochet Stitch Pattern # 6
For this next crochet lace stitch pattern, we have a beautiful open lace stitch design that features staggered blocks of 5 double crochet and V stitches within a mesh. I find this crochet stitch pattern to be very visually striking.
This pattern is good for beginner crocheters and the stitches you need to know are single crochet, double crochet, chain stitches and double treble crochet to achieve this look.
Foundation: Multiples of 16 + 10.
Row 2: Ch 9 (counts as dtr + ch 3), turn, *5 dc in next ch sp, ch 5, dc in next ch sp, ch 2, dc in same sp, ch 5*, repeat * until last ch sp has 5 dc, ch 3, dtr in last st.
Row 3: Ch 1, turn, sc, *ch 8, sc in next ch 5 sp* repeat * until last ch 5 sp has sc, ch 8, sc in 6th ch of 9.
Row 4: Ch 9, turn, *dc in next ch sp, ch 2, dc in same sp, ch 5, 5 dc in next ch sp, ch 5*, repeat * until last ch sp has [dc + ch 2 + dc], ch 3, dtr in last st.
Row 5: Ch 1, turn, sc, *ch 8, sc in next ch 5 sp* repeat * until last ch 5 sp has sc, ch 8, sc in 6th ch of 9.
Repeat rows 2 - 5.
