Crochet Triangle Bikini Top Free Pattern

I designed this crochet triangle bikini top free pattern for as a part of an 8 piece crochet bikini collection called Bare Sands. This project features a options for a full coverage cup or a minimal coverage cup.

I really love the way both coverage options fit. Also, this is a fairly easy crochet project that works up quickly due to the basic stitch design. The pattern features chain stitches, single crochets and double crochets.

You will need a medium weight 4 yarn and an F Hook / 3.75 mm Hook for this crochet bikini top. The sizes included in the free pattern are A – DD and XS – 3X.

Materials

60 – 150 yards of medium weight 4 yarn or main color – 45 – 120 yds, border – 20 – 30 yds)
F Hook / 3.75 mm Hook

Cups

According to A (B, C, D, DD)

Foundation: Ch 3.

Row 1: 3 dc in 3rd ch from hook.

Row 2: Ch 1, turn, 2 dc in 1st st, 1 dc in every st across until 1 st left, 2 dc in last st.

***Repeat row 2 until row 12 (14, 15, 16, 18) is complete for minimal coverage OR until row 15 (17, 18, 19, 21) for full coverage. Fasten off only if you would like a color change OR continue to border of 1st cup if you would like the same color throughout. Repeat rows 1 – 12 (14, 15, 16, 18) / 15 (17, 18, 19, 21) for the 2nd cup but follow the border for the 2nd cup.

Border of 1st Cup

According to XS (S, M, L, 1X, 2X, 3X)

Continue with working yarn or fasten off & reattach color to the last dc of the row and pull up a loop.

Ch 1, turn, 2 sc to corner stitch with tail from the last row, 1 sc in every st until 1 st left, 3 sc in last st, turn to work along sides of rows, *ch 3, sk 1 side of dc row, sc in side of next row*, twist repeat * forcing sc in corner st/slip knot*, 2 sc in same st, turn to work along sides of rows, 2 sc in the side of every dc row across, sc in corner st (that has 2 sc already), sl st in sc, ch 90 (100, 110, 120, 130, 140, 150). Fasten off.

Border of 2nd Cup

Continue with working yarn or fasten off & reattach color to the last dc of the row and pull up a loop.

Ch 1, 2 sc to corner stitch with tail from the last row going towards sides of rows this time, turn to work along sides of rows, 2 sc in the side of every dc row across until corner st, 3 sc in corner st/slip knot, turn to work along sides of rows *ch 3, sk 1 side of dc row, sc in side of next row*, twist repeat * forcing sc in corner st, 2 sc in same st, 1 sc in every st across until corner st, sc in corner st (that has 2 sc already), sl st in sc, ch 90 (100, 110, 120, 130, 140, 150). Fasten off.
