Crochet Stitch Pattern # 7




For this gorgeous crochet lace stitch pattern we have a very geometric visual affect. I can see this stitch pattern many different ways.  It kind of looks like concentric circles as well as staggered diamond shapes.  It is definitely visually interesting to say the least.  

To create this crochet stitch pattern, you need to know single crochet, double crochet, chain stitches, treble crochet, as well as double crochet 2 together & double crochet 3 together across the next 2 or 3 stitches.  For that reason I think this stitch pattern is good for advanced beginners and above. Foundation:  Multiples of 10 + 3


Row 1: Dc2tog across the 3rd and 4th ch, *ch 3, sk 3, 3 dc, ch 3, sk 3, dc3tog across the next 3 ch, repeat * until 5 st left,  ch 3, sk 3, dc2tog across the last 2 ch.



Row 2: Ch 6 (counts as tr + ch 3), sk 3, *1 dc in next 3 st, ch 7, sk 7*, repeat * until 4 st left, ch 3, sk 3, tr. 


Row 3: Ch 1, turn,  2 dc, *ch 3, sk 3, dc3tog across next 3 st, ch 3, sk 3, 3 dc in 4th ch of 7*, repeat * until 4 st left, ch 3, sk 3, 2 dc in 4th ch of 6. 



Row 4: Ch 1, turn, 1 dc in next 2 st, *ch 7, sk 7, 1 dc in next 3 st*, repeat until 9 st left, ch 7, sk 7, 1 dc in last 2 st. 




Row 5:  Ch 1, turn dc2tog across next 2 st, *ch 3, sk 3, 3 dc in 4th ch of 7, ch 3, sk 3, dc3tog across the next 3 st, repeat * until 5 st left,  ch 3, sk 3, dc2tog across the last 2 st.



Repeat rows 2 - 5.
