Free Crochet Bralette Pattern: Crochet Journey Bralette

Crochet bralette free pattern

Here is the free pattern for the Crochet Journey Bralette!  I did a video for the stitch pattern of the bodice of this bralette over at Crochet Design Ideas and I really wanted to make a bralette with it. I also tried to make a different cup that ties by crossing in the front first before tying around the neck.  I super pleased with how it turned out.

Since this was an experimental crochet cup for me, I shot the crochet video tutorial in two parts. I think the bodice will look good in other cups as well so please feel free to have some fun!  I also plan to make this bodice with basic bralette cups and a halter top sometime in the future, so if you are feeling frisky,  you can try this bodice with other tops and cups!  You can you can have fun with the bra part of this piece and just skip to the border and ties of this pattern for your size to finish you crochet bralette!

Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook, 1 sc in every st across.

Row 2: Ch 1, turn, 1 sc in every stitch across, 3 more sc in the last st (the middle of the 3 sc will be the middle st of the cup), (working along the bottom of the foundation ch) 1 sc in the next 13 (14, 15, 16, 18) ch across.

Repeat for 2nd cup.

Crochet Bra Cup

Configure cups to mirror each other with the middle stitches in the center of the bodice. Please be sure that the cups are both RS or same side in front so that it looks the same. Sew or crochet cups to center of bodice matching the middle st of the cups to the middle st of the bodice. You can count how many stitches are on one side of the middle stitch of the cups to crochet the cup to the bodice matching one st to one st from the center. Be sure to crochet the cups on the WS of the garment.

Border and Ties

According to XS (S, M, L, 1X, 2X, 3X)

Reattach yarn to top corner stitch of bodice.  Ch 150 (160, 170, 190, 210, 220, 230), 1 sl st in every ch back towards the bodice, *1 sc in next 5 st,  ch3picot*, repeat * until bodice meets 1st cup (if you cant fit a picot in the corner, just finish the top of the bodice with sc), sc in corner st, *1 sc in the side of next 5 rows, ch3picot*, repeat * until top of the cup (use you digression if your last picot is too close to the top of the cup, just finish with all sc), ch 90 (100, 110, 120, 130, 140, 150), 1 sl st in every ch back towards the top of the cup, mirror the other side of the cup if you had to do more sc at the top ( for example, I had sc at the top before starting the top tie, so I placed 7 sc at the top of the other side before starting our repeating pattern again), *1 sc in next 5 st, ch3picot*, repeat * until 3 st left in 1st cup, mirror the 1st cup by skipping the 1st 3 st of 2nd cup & placing 1 sc in to the 4th st of the second cup and follow the repeating stitch pattern backwards from the first cup & mirror any forced st in the pattern so that your picots align with the first cup until you reach the top of the cup, ch 90 (100, 110, 120, 130, 140, 150), 1 sl st in every ch back towards the top of the cup, continue to mirror the 1st cup of the outer side so that the picots align with the 1st cup until you reach the top corner of the other side of the bodice, ch 150 (160, 170, 190, 210 220, 230), 1 sl st in every ch back towards the bodice, sl st in corner st.
